Europe represents one of the world's largest economic opportunities, with more than 450 million people across 27 EU member states.
For technology companies looking to expand internationally, the opportunity is enormous. But entering and operating in Europe often means navigating a fragmented landscape of regulations, local requirements, service providers, and disconnected tools.
A company expanding into Europe may need a GDPR representative, privacy management software, AI governance processes, product safety compliance, local employment services, and more. Traditionally, these requirements are handled by different providers, creating operational complexity as the business grows.
We're building EU Presence to change that.
Today, we're announcing the launch of EU Presence 2.0, a completely rebuilt platform designed to give companies one place to manage the regulatory and operational infrastructure they need to enter and operate across Europe.
A new foundation for European expansion
EU Presence 2.0 represents a major step forward in our product and our long-term vision.
We've rebuilt the platform from the ground up, introducing a redesigned dashboard, improved navigation, new capabilities, and a more connected experience across our product ecosystem.
Two important additions sit at the center of this experience:
- Universal Search — find information across your workspace, including data subject requests, content notices, employees, documents, and other operational records.
- Unified Inbox — bring incoming requests and important workflows into one place, making it easier to keep track of what needs attention.
Rather than managing separate tools for every regulatory requirement, companies can access multiple areas of their European operations through one platform.
One platform. Multiple areas of European compliance.
As companies expand into Europe, their regulatory responsibilities evolve. EU Presence brings together several key areas of regulatory compliance and operational infrastructure.
Privacy and GDPR
Managing privacy obligations goes beyond publishing a privacy policy.
EU Presence provides tools to manage data subject requests, maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), manage subprocessors, create and manage Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
The platform supports 15 privacy frameworks, including GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and LGPD, alongside GDPR representation and workflows for correspondence with European supervisory authorities.
Content Safety and the Digital Services Act
For online platforms and digital services, the Digital Services Act (DSA) introduces requirements around handling notices of potentially illegal content and providing transparency around moderation decisions.
EU Presence supports workflows for receiving and managing notices, making takedown or leave decisions, issuing statements of reasons, managing appeal windows, and preparing transparency reports.
The platform also provides DSA representative services and support for correspondence with relevant authorities.
Cyber Resilience and NIS2
Cybersecurity and incident reporting are increasingly important parts of operating in Europe.
EU Presence supports NIS2-related incident reporting workflows and provides NIS2 representative services for companies that require them.
Applicability and reporting obligations depend on the organization's activities, size, and role under the relevant legislation.
AI Governance and the EU AI Act
As artificial intelligence becomes part of more products and business operations, companies need to understand their responsibilities under the EU AI Act.
EU Presence provides tools for maintaining an AI system registry, supporting conformity assessment workflows, and accessing AI Act representative services where applicable.
The goal is to help companies organize their AI governance responsibilities as regulatory requirements evolve.
Product Safety and GPSR
Companies selling products in Europe may face additional requirements around product documentation, risk classification, traceability, and responsible economic operators.
EU Presence supports product registry and taxonomy management, product risk classification, declarations of conformity, technical documentation, manufacturer and brand records, and recall management.
The platform also provides EU Responsible Person services where applicable.
A Privacy Center for every brand
Beyond internal compliance workflows, companies also need a way to communicate privacy information and provide users with access to their rights.
EU Presence includes a customizable Privacy Center where businesses can manage and publish privacy policies, terms of service, policy version histories, certifications, and public subprocessor listings.
Users can also submit privacy requests, exercise their rights, report potentially illegal content, and check the status of their requests.
For businesses operating multiple brands, the platform supports multiple Privacy Centers with different names, subdomains, and visual identities, while keeping requests organized within the same account.
Beyond compliance: the infrastructure to operate in Europe
European expansion is not just a regulatory challenge. Companies also need the operational infrastructure to build and grow their presence.
EU Presence extends beyond compliance with services that include:
- Employer of Record (EOR) — employment support across the 27 EU member states.
- European Payroll — payroll services across EU markets.
- Company Formation — support for establishing a company in EU member states.
By bringing regulatory and operational services together, EU Presence aims to reduce the complexity of working with multiple providers as companies expand into new markets.
What European expansion looks like through one platform
Consider a US-based technology startup preparing to enter the European market.
Initially, it may need GDPR compliance and an EU representative. As it grows, it might introduce AI-powered features, requiring additional AI governance processes. If it sells physical products, product safety requirements may enter the picture. As the team expands, it may also need local employment and payroll services.
Each new requirement traditionally means another provider, another contract, another system, and another relationship to manage.
With EU Presence, these needs can be addressed through one platform and a growing set of regulatory and operational services.
This is the thinking behind our product: companies shouldn't have to rebuild their European infrastructure every time their business evolves.
Built for the next generation of global companies
EU Presence works with startups and technology companies navigating the complexities of European expansion, including companies from the ecosystems of Y Combinator, Plug and Play, and Techstars.
Our focus is particularly on US-based SaaS, AI, and technology companies looking to access the European market without building an entirely separate infrastructure for every country and regulatory requirement.
Version 2.0 is an important milestone, but it is also a foundation for what comes next.
We believe European expansion should become significantly simpler. Our ambition is to build the platform that companies rely on not only when entering Europe, but throughout their journey as they grow across the region.
One platform to enter and operate in Europe.
