Edit or withdraw an AI system

Correct a system's details or classification, add or replace its documents, or record that it has come off the market.

Open a system from the Registered systems tab to change what the register holds about it. Every change is written to the audit log. Systems are never deleted: one that leaves the market is withdrawn and stays on the register.

Edit a system's details

  1. Open the system and choose Edit details from its More actions menu.
  2. Change what you need. The fields are the ones you answered at registration, without the documents.
  3. Click Save changes.

A change of risk tier is recorded as a reclassification, separately from the other fields, and the system's status and your usage count follow it. Turning Show on the Privacy Center on or off is done here too. A withdrawn system can't be edited.

Add or replace a document

The system's Documents section shows how many of the three documents are on file. Click Upload beside a missing one, or Replace beside one on file, choose a PDF or ZIP of up to 25 MB, and confirm. A replacement keeps the document's link, so anything you've already shared opens the new file. The document is listed in your workspace's Documents.

Withdraw a system from the market

  1. Open the system and click Withdraw from market.
  2. Enter the date it was Withdrawn on and the Reason, in at least ten characters.
  3. Click Withdraw system.

The system then shows Withdrawn, and:

  • it's read-only: no edits, documents or registration can be recorded against it;
  • it comes off your Privacy Center, whatever its listing setting says;
  • it stops counting towards your usage;
  • it can't be chosen for a new conformity assessment.

It stays on the register and in exports, with its assessments. An authority can still write to you about it: see letters from authorities.

Can't be undone. There's no way to reverse a withdrawal. If the system goes back on the market, register it again.
