For DPOs: accept a client's request

When a client pays for your services, accept or decline from your Home, then pick which client to work in.

Updated 2 min read

This guide is for Data Protection Officers listed in the EU Presence catalogue. EU Presence creates your account and links it to your catalogue profile, and there's no company setup for you to do.

Your profile

Account › Hub profile shows your profile as customers see it in the catalogue, with every service and its price. It also shows the contact email we hold for you, which customers never see, whether you're listed, and when we last updated the profile. We maintain it, so write to us at hello@eupresence.com if anything needs changing.

When a client pays

When a client has paid for one or more of your services, you're invited to their workspace at your contact email, and the request appears under Incoming requests on your Home. Each request shows the client, who asked for it and when, every service with Monthly or One-time and its price, and the client's first message if they wrote one. Until you've joined a client, you see Waiting for an organization, with any incoming requests beneath it.

Accept a request

  1. Under Incoming requests, find the client and select Accept — take DPO role.
  2. In Accept this request, select Accept — take DPO role.

You join the client's workspace with the DPO role: you're listed as their DPO, you can sign in to their workspace, and each service's conversation opens to you. Accepting covers every service in the request. You can also accept from the invitation email.

If the button is greyed out, the invitation hasn't reached your account yet. It usually appears within a minute or two. If it doesn't, select Refresh access, under Missing an assignment?.

Decline a request

  1. Select Decline on the request.
  2. In Decline this request, select Decline request.

Every service in the request ends before you join: you aren't added to the workspace, the conversation closes and the invitation is withdrawn. Any monthly billing stops, EU Presence refunds the client, and nothing is paid out to you for it.

Can't be undone. The client would have to buy the services again for you to take them on.

Choose which client to work in

Each time you sign in, if two or more clients have a service of yours running, EU Presence asks which one to work in. With one, it opens straight away. Home then shows that client alone: what's waiting for you, such as deadlines and replies owed, your services there, the registers they've opened and their recent activity. Switch organization on the client's card takes you back to the choice.

Work in a client's workspace

  • You can work in the client's Inbox, the compliance registers they've opened, their Privacy Center, where you manage policies and certifications, and Reports.
  • Billing, mandates, custom domains, the organisation's details and members, People, Establish and Documents stay with the client.
  • Each of your services has its own conversation with the client, which you open from your Home or the sidebar. You can post while the service is running, and a service that has ended keeps its conversation readable.
  • Your access lasts while at least one of your services in that workspace is paid and running.
