Log a notice you received elsewhere

Record an Article 16 notice that reached you by email, phone, post or another channel, with the day it arrived.

A notice that reached you outside your Privacy Center's form, by email, phone or post, goes into the same queue once you log it. Any member of your workspace can log one while Content Safety is open.

Log the notice

  1. Go to Compliance › Content Safety and select Log report.
  2. Pick the Category. Each option says what belongs in it.
  3. Under Reporter, choose their Role and enter the Reporter name and Reporter email. The decision is emailed to that address when you decide.
  4. Under Content reported, enter the Affected URLs, one per line, and the reporter's explanation under Why this content is illegal, in at least 20 characters.
  5. Pick the Reply language: the language the reporter wrote in, so whoever writes the reply knows which to use.
  6. Under How it arrived, set the Date received and choose how it was Received via.
  7. Select Log report.

What the fields need

  • Date received starts the 14-day Response window, so use the day the notice actually arrived rather than today.
  • Article 16(2) of the DSA asks a notice for an explanation of why the content is illegal, its exact links, the reporter's name and email, and a statement of good faith. Each link must start with http or https, and you can add up to 50.
  • Choosing Child sexual abuse material removes the name and email fields. Article 16(2)(c) exempts these notices from contact details, and the platform doesn't keep them.
  • By logging the notice you confirm that the reporter told you, in good faith, that the content is illegal. The entry carries your name and the time you saved it.

After you log it

The notice joins the queue as Open. Logging it doesn't email the reporter. Where a notice gives contact details, Article 16(4) asks you to confirm receipt without undue delay, so do that from wherever the notice arrived; the drawer's checklist marks that row N/A for this reason.

Every notice you log counts towards the notices your plan includes; see Notices included in your plan. To decide it, see Handle a notice about illegal content.
