Find a contractor's engagement agreement
Download the executed engagement agreement our team files, see its IP assignment, and what each agreement status means.
Every engagement opens an engagement agreement. EU Presence countersigns it as Contractor of Record and files the executed PDF on the contractor's record, where you can download it.
How an agreement opens
Recording an engagement opens its first agreement, effective from the start date, with the status Awaiting signature and the IP assignment you picked on the form. While any agreement on the record is waiting for its executed PDF, the record says EU Presence staff will reach out to complete this process.
Download the executed PDF
When our team files the executed agreement, its status changes to Signed, and its signing date and file appear beside it. The member who recorded the engagement is emailed that it's signed and filed, and the filing is recorded in their Notifications.
You can download it from three places:
- The contractor's record, under Engagement agreements. Each agreement shows its effective date, signing date and IP assignment, with its own download button.
- The Engagements tab on People › Contractors, in the Document column. The Term column there shows the end date, or Open-ended · 30-day notice.
- Documents, where it's listed as a Contractor agreement. See Find a document.
Agreement statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Awaiting signature | The agreement is open, and our team hasn't filed the executed PDF yet. |
| Signed | The executed PDF is on file. |
| Terminated | The engagement was ended. Every agreement awaiting signature or signed at that moment is marked Terminated. A filed PDF stays downloadable. |
When terms change
Our team can open a further agreement for a contractor you've already engaged. Each agreement states its own IP assignment, so a further one can carry a different term from the last. Earlier agreements stay listed and downloadable, newest first.
A contractor has at most one agreement awaiting signature at a time. When a further agreement opens, the member who recorded the engagement is emailed, and it's recorded in Notifications.
