Getting started

Set up your Privacy Center

Fill in your hub's details, publish a policy and put your public Privacy Center live.

Updated 2 min read

Your Privacy Center is the public page where visitors read the policies you have in force and the certifications you hold. It's served at your-handle.prvcy.center, built from your workspace handle. The Go-live checklist on Privacy Center › Overview tracks the steps below.

Fill in the hub details

  1. Go to Privacy Center › Brand.
  2. Under Hub details, select Set up.
  3. Enter the Display name visitors read in the header, which is the one required field. Add the Legal entity, the Privacy contact address visitors can write to, and your Website. Under Appearance you can choose a Heading font and a Brand colour.
  4. Select Save changes.

To add your logo, select Upload on the Appearance card.

Publish a policy

The page can't go live until at least one policy is in force.

  1. Go to Privacy Center › Policies and select New policy.
  2. Choose the kind of policy. Then fill in its Name, URL slug and Short description, and write its first version.
  3. Select Create and publish. The version is in force from today. Save as draft keeps it off the page instead.

A published version can't be edited: to change a policy, you publish a new version. See publish a policy.

Put the page live

  1. On the Brand tab, find Your public page and select Publish hub. While no policy is in force, the button reads Cannot publish yet.
  2. In Publish the hub, select Publish hub.

The page goes live at its address with the policies in force and the certifications you list, and the act is written to the audit log. It stays up until you select Take offline. A DPO who works with you can't change the hub details or logo, or publish the page or take it offline.

What else the page can show

  • Certifications you hold, such as ISO 27001, added on the Certifications tab and listed beside your policies.
  • Each register's public features, once that register is open: a privacy request form and status page for Privacy, an illegal content form and your published transparency reports for Content Safety, the AI systems you mark for the page in AI Governance, and published recall notices in Product Safety. See Open your first register.
  • A domain of your own and separate brand hubs, on the Pro plan (see connect a custom domain and Free and Pro).
