Add a certification
Record a certification you hold, picked from the standards EU Presence keeps, and choose whether your Privacy Center shows it.
The Certifications tab records the certifications and attestations your organisation holds, and lists the ones you choose on your Privacy Center. Anyone in your workspace can add them, including a DPO you've hired.
Add one
- Go to Privacy Center › Certifications and select Add certification.
- Under Certificate:
- Pick the Standard. The list is the catalogue our team keeps, shared by every workspace. If yours isn't in it, ask us to add it.
- Add the Scope where the certificate covers less than the whole standard, and the edition, since the standard carries none.
- Type the Issuing body. It's free text because we can't verify whether a body is accredited for a scheme.
- Add the Certificate number, which someone can check against the issuing body's own register.
- Under Validity, enter the day it was Issued and the day it Expires. Leave the expiry empty where there's none, for example a SOC 2 Type II report, which covers a period. The certification then reads No expiry recorded.
- Under On your hub, add a Public report link where a visitor can verify or request the report, and tick Show this on my public trust hub to list it.
- Select Add certification.
Standard, Issuing body and Issued are required.
What your hub shows
A listed certification appears under Independently verified with the standard's name and mark, its scope, Issued by, Valid to and the report link.
- A certification is Valid, Expiring within 90 days, Expired or No expiry recorded, worked out from its expiry date.
- An expired certification is dropped from the hub once its expiry date has passed, whatever its listing says.
- If we stop offering a standard, the certifications you already hold under it stay on your record and your hub, but it can't be picked for a new one.
Keep the certificate on file
Open the certification and, under The certificate, select Upload, or Replace once one is on file. Use a PDF or ZIP file up to 20 MB. The file is your own evidence: it's kept private, never published to your hub, and listed in Documents. Use the public report link for what visitors see.
Record a recertification
When the issuing body reissues the certificate, open the certification and select Record recertification rather than editing the dates. Enter Newly issued and New expiry, and a New certificate number if it changed. The new dates replace the ones on file, the log entry keeps the old ones, and the certification's standing is worked out again from the new expiry.
Edit or remove a certification
The certification's menu offers Edit details and Remove. Removing it, from Remove this certification, takes it off the register and your hub and deletes the certificate file. The audit log keeps the record that you held it.
