Add a brand hub
On Pro, publish a hub for each name you trade under, at a path under your address or on a domain of its own.
A brand hub is another name your workspace publishes under. It shows the same policies, certifications and forms as your own hub, under the brand's own name, contact, website, logo, heading font and colour. Each brand hub lives at a path under your address, such as acme.prvcy.center/studio, can take a domain of its own, and has its own publish switch. Brand hubs come with Pro, with no limit on how many (see Free and Pro).
Add a brand at a path
- Go to Privacy Center › Brand. Under Other brand hubs, select Add brand.
- Under Address, keep Path selected and type the Path: up to 40 lower-case letters, numbers and hyphens. These paths are reserved:
ai-systems,api,logo,policies,privacy,recalls,standards,sub-processorsandtransparency. - Under Identity, fill in the Display name, which is required, and the brand's own Legal entity, Privacy contact and Website. These aren't copied from your own hub: only an empty website falls back, to the one in your organisation's details.
- Under Appearance, add a Logo (SVG, PNG or WebP, under 1 MB) and choose a Heading font and Brand colour.
- Select Add brand.
Anyone in your workspace can add a brand at a path, apart from a DPO you've hired.
Add a brand on its own domain
An admin can choose Custom domain under Address instead, and type the Domain, such as privacy.brand.com. The brand still gets a path, taken from its display name. The path serves the brand hub until the domain is live, and then sends visitors to the domain. Once you've added the brand, open it to find the DNS records to set; see Connect a custom domain.
You can also give an existing brand a domain later: open it, choose Custom domain under Address, type the domain and select Save changes.
Publish the brand hub
A new brand hub isn't published. Open it from its row's menu with Edit, and under Public page select Publish hub, then Publish hub in Publish this brand hub. As with your own hub, you need at least one policy in force. Take offline, in the same place, takes the brand hub down without touching your own hub or your other brands. Both acts are written to your audit log.
Edit or remove a brand
Select Edit in the brand's row menu, change what you need and select Save changes. Changing the path breaks every link anyone has shared to it.
To remove a brand, first take it offline, and have an admin remove its custom domain if it has one. Then select Remove in its menu and Remove hub in Remove this brand hub.
Can't be undone. Removing a brand hub deletes its logo and frees its path for reuse. The audit log records the path it freed.
If the workspace goes back to Free
Brand hubs are kept with their content and logos, but marked Paused and not served. A brand's path on your address redirects to the same page of your own hub, and a brand's own domain redirects to your workspace address. While paused, you can still edit a brand, take it offline, remove it and remove its domain, but you can't add or publish one. Upgrading to Pro serves them again as they were.
