View invoices and update your payment method
Find, pay and download your invoices under Settings › Billing, and change your card in Stripe's customer portal.
Settings › Billing lists every invoice Stripe has issued to your workspace, newest first. Your card is managed in Stripe's customer portal, which Manage billing opens. Only Admins can manage billing; a DPO can't open Settings.
One billing account for everything
Your workspace has one billing account with Stripe, created at its first checkout. Everything you buy afterwards is billed to it, so all your invoices are in one list: register subscriptions, Pro, employee and contractor services, and DPO services.
Every checkout takes a card, which is the only payment method, and asks for a billing address. You can add a tax ID there too. Your company's legal name has to be saved under Settings › Organization before you can check out, because Stripe bills the company by it; see Edit your company and workspace details.
Find, pay or download an invoice
Each row shows the Invoice number, its Date, what it's For, the Period it covers, its Status and its Amount. A partly paid invoice also shows what's still due.
- Pay opens an Open or Overdue invoice on Stripe's invoice page, where you pay it.
- View opens any other invoice there.
- PDF downloads it.
An invoice is Overdue when it's still open after its due date. The other statuses are Paid, Uncollectible and Void. Under the table, Next shows older invoices and Previous newer ones. Usage charges appear on an invoice as lines of their own; see How usage charges work.
Update your card
- On Settings › Billing, select Manage billing at the top of the Invoices card.
- Stripe's customer portal opens. Change your payment method there.
- Go back to the platform from the portal. Settings › Billing notes that changes made in the portal appear within a minute.
Manage billing is also on each open register's Settings tab, beside the subscription's price and renewal date. Opened from there, the portal brings you back to the register.
Before your workspace's first checkout there's nothing to manage, so the button doesn't appear.
Where you buy each service
Registers are subscribed to from their own pages; see Open a register. Pro is bought from Settings › Organization; see Free and Pro plans. For employee and contractor services and for DPO services, see Hire an employee and Hire a DPO. Their invoices all land on this page.
