Edit your company and workspace details

Change your logo, display name, handle, legal details, registered address and primary contact under Settings › Organization.

Updated 3 min read

Settings › Organization holds, in one form, your workspace as your colleagues see it and your company as it appears on the agreements EU Presence signs on your behalf. Under the form are the primary contact and your plan. Admins can change everything on the page; a DPO working with you can't open Settings.

Logo, display name and handle

  • Logo is optional: a PNG, JPEG or WebP image up to 512 KB, shown in the workspace switcher and on invitations. Select Upload a file, or Replace or Remove once there's one. The logo changes as soon as you pick the file, without Save changes.
  • Display name is the workspace's name in the switcher. It's required.
  • Handle is your Privacy Center's address: a workspace with the handle acme has its Privacy Center at acme.prvcy.center. It's required and takes 2 to 63 lowercase letters and numbers, with single hyphens between them. No other workspace can hold the same handle.
  • Legal name is required. Use the name the company is registered under.
  • Registration number, VAT number and Website are optional. A website needs its full address, including https://.
  • Registered address starts with Country of registration, which is required and decides whether a state or region is asked for. The city, postal code and address lines follow. You can leave those empty, but once you fill in any of them, Address line 1 and City are required, and so is the state wherever the country's addresses have one.

Select Save changes at the top of the card. It reads Saved when nothing is waiting.

These details go onto what EU Presence prepares for your company:

  • The representation mandates you sign print the legal name and registered address, and a mandate can't be signed until the address is filled in.
  • Employment and contractor agreements carry the legal name and country of registration.
  • Stripe bills the company by its legal name, so it must be saved before you subscribe to a register or upgrade to Pro.

A mandate you've already signed keeps the details it was signed with. See Sign the mandate.

Before you change the handle

Old links stop working. Changing the handle moves your Privacy Center to the new address the moment you save. Every link to the old address, in a privacy policy, an email footer or an email a data subject already has, stops working, and nothing redirects it.

The form shows the same warning as soon as the handle differs from the saved one, and the page reloads after you save. The audit log records the old and the new handle, so you can look up the old address later. A custom domain you've connected isn't built from the handle and keeps working.

Name the primary contact

The primary contact is the member EU Presence asks when we need a decision about your company. They're also the person emailed when a privacy request or a content notice arrives through your Privacy Center, and about any letter from an authority that nobody has been assigned to. With nobody named, those emails aren't sent, though the notifications in the platform still are.

  1. In Primary contact, select Change.
  2. Pick a member under Contact, or Nobody named.
  3. Confirm with Name followed by their name, or Clear the contact.

Naming someone sends them nothing. The legal details have to be saved before you can name anyone, and if your primary contact leaves the workspace, the section goes back to nobody named, so name someone new.

What gets recorded

Each change here is an entry in the audit log: a new display name or handle with its old and new value, a logo added or removed, the company details field by field with their earlier values, and a change of primary contact.
