Review changes in the audit log
See who changed what in your workspace, filter the log, open an entry's before and after, and export it as a CSV.
Settings › Audit log is your workspace's record of every change to its data, newest first. Entries can't be edited or deleted. Everyone on your team can open it. A DPO can't open Settings, but can download the log from Reports, as described below.
Who appears in the log
Each entry says who did what to which record, and when. The Actor is one of these:
- A member of your team, by name, for example inviting or removing someone, editing the company details, or work in the registers, People and Establish.
- EU Presence, marked Under your mandate, for what our team does on your behalf, such as filing an executed agreement or completing a formation step. Our staff aren't named individually.
- Someone outside the workspace, for what arrives through your public pages, such as a request filed on your Privacy Center.
- Stripe, for what Stripe reports about a register subscription or a DPO service, such as a change of status or the subscription ending. The admin who paid is named when a subscription is first activated.
- Vercel, which serves custom domains, when a domain you've connected goes live or stops being served.
Changes to your own account, such as your password or second factor, aren't in the log.
Filter and search
- The search box, Search by record name…, finds entries by the name of the record they're about.
- Area narrows the log to People, Establish, Workspace or Compliance.
- Changed by picks Your team or EU Presence.
- Person picks one member.
The filters are part of the page's address, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view. If nothing matches, Clear the filters brings back the whole log.
Open an entry
Select a row to open it. What happened gives the exact time, the actor, the record, the area and the entry's ID. What changed sets each field's value Before beside its value After, and Around the same time lists the same person's other recent entries.
The menu at the end of each row has Copy link, which opens that entry for a teammate you send it to, and Copy ID. The Entry column shows the first eight characters of the ID, enough to quote to our team.
A member's details under Settings › Members also show their recent activity, with View all in the audit log.
Export the log
- Go to Reports › Report templates.
- On Audit log export, choose the period: Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This year or Last 12 months.
- Select Generate, then Generate and download.
The CSV has one row per entry, with the columns When, Actor, Action, Subject and Area. It's filed as a document and listed under Recent runs, so anyone in the workspace can download the same copy again. A period with more than 10,000 entries is refused, so pick a shorter one. See Run a report for more about reports.
