Search the workspace

Find a record by name, email address or reference number from the search box at the top of every page.

Updated 2 min read

Select Search anything… in the top bar, or press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K elsewhere. Before you type, it offers Jump to shortcuts to the five registers, Employees, Contractors, Company Formation, the Privacy Center, Notifications, the DPO marketplace and Settings, with a few examples under Try searching for.

Find a record

Type at least two characters. The results update as you type, grouped by kind, with up to five of each:

KindFound by
Privacy requestsThe data subject's name or email address, or the request summary
RoPAThe processing activity's name
Sub-processors and DPAsThe company's legal or trading name
DPIAsThe assessment's title
Content reportsThe reporter's name or email address
IncidentsThe summary, or the incident's reference, such as NIS2-0007
AI systemsThe name or version, or the reference, such as AIS-0007
ProductsThe name, model identifier or GTIN, or the reference, such as PRD-0007
Manufacturers and BrandsThe name
RecallsThe product's name, or the recall's reference, such as REC-0007
PoliciesThe name, in any of the policy's languages, or its URL slug
EntitiesThe proposed company name, registration number or VAT number
Employees and ContractorsThe name or role, and an employee's department
DPOsA listed DPO's name or headline

A reference matches with or without its prefix and leading zeros, so prd7 and 7 both find product 7. A bare number finds the matching incident, AI system, product and recall at once.

Open a result

Select a result, or move with the arrow keys and press Enter. Most open the record in its register with its panel open; an entity opens Company Formation, and a DPO opens their profile in the marketplace. Press Esc to close the search.

If nothing matches, the box says so and suggests trying a name, an email address or a reference. Search covers your own workspace, plus the DPOs listed in the marketplace. For anything past the first five of a kind, use the register's own search. A DPO who works with you doesn't have this search box.
