Use the Inbox
Work through privacy requests and illegal content notices in one queue, each opening in its register's own panel.
The Inbox lists what someone outside your company is waiting on: data subject requests in the Privacy register and illegal content notices in the Content Safety register, newest arrival first. The number beside Inbox in the sidebar is how many are still owed a response.
Pick a view
The tabs across the top narrow the queue, and each shows its count:
| Tab | Privacy requests | Content reports |
|---|---|---|
| All | Every request | Every notice |
| New | Status New | Not yet decided |
| Action needed | New, In progress or Awaiting subject | Not yet decided |
| Resolved | Resolved, Rejected or Withdrawn | Decided or closed |
A notice has nothing between arriving and being decided, so for content reports New and Action needed hold the same items.
Search and filter
Type in Search by name, email or content… and press Enter. It matches a request's subject name, email address or summary, and a notice's reporter name, email address or reported URLs. Source: All narrows the queue to Privacy or Content Safety. If nothing matches, select Clear the filters. The pager on the right moves through the queue 20 rows at a time.
Read a row
| Column | Shows |
|---|---|
| Source | Privacy or Content Safety |
| ID | The first eight characters of the record's ID |
| Item | For a request, the data subject, then the request type and email address. For a notice, the first reported URL, then its category and the reporter, or Anonymous. |
| Received | The day it arrived |
| Response window | The time left to respond, coloured by how close it is, or a dash once there's nothing left to respond to |
| Status | The status its register gives it |
For a privacy request, the response window counts down to the due date the Privacy register works out from the request's framework and any extension. For a content report, it counts down to 14 days after the notice arrived. That's a target EU Presence sets: the DSA asks for notices to be decided in a timely manner (Article 16(6)) but names no number of days.
Work a record
Select a row to open the record in its register's own panel, over the Inbox. The panel and its actions belong to the register, so you extend a request's deadline or decide a notice exactly as you would there. The Inbox has no actions of its own.
- For requests, see handle a privacy request. For notices, see handle a notice.
- The menu at the end of a row offers Copy link, a link to the record in its register, and Copy ID.
- A record opens only while its register is open. If a register closes, for example because its subscription lapsed, its rows stay listed but don't open until it reopens.
